Our scripture is 2 Corinthians 1: 3-7.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.  And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

Since 2009 Calvary Chapel Comforters has been sewing quilts for the needy in the United States and abroad. We are a small group of woman dedicated to the comfort, well being, and salvation of people in a variety of situations: marriage, victory over drug use, loss from fire, physical abuse and homelessness to name a few. We meet 3 times a month making between 5 and 10 quilts a year. Each quilt has a scripture embroidered on the front in the language of its home country. Each quilt is prayed over and hand delivered.
While making quilts is our primary goal we also work with Hands and Feet Ministries and have participated for 3 years in the international group, Days for Girls, providing hygiene kits and education to woman and girls all over the world. We also make and distribute clothing, dresses for girls and shorts for boys.
